Other Stuff!

Finally something to put here! While I've been doing our Phase 1 flight testing, Mike loaned me a set of his headsets with the Headsets Inc. ANR conversion.
I liked them, and decided to order up the kits. This evening, I spent a few hours converting the headsets. It's not too bad of a job if you're not too daunted by some wire cutting and soldering. If you've built and wired your aeroplane, this is an EASY task!
I didn't take any pictures, but basically you remove practically everything from the insides of your own headsets, except for some of the foam, and replace it with stuff from the kit. The kits contained everything I needed for our David Clark headsets, including some foam insulation, the ANR speaker modules, some wire, solder, tie wraps, double sided sticky tape and the battery module.
When I called to order, I wasn't aware that you could have the option of the battery box with an auto shut off, so I got the standard version. Oh well, I'd better carry a stock of 9v batteries as I'm sure to forget to turn it off! Sounds like a checklist item to me!
You can check out the kit at www.headsetsinc.com . You cannot order online unfortunately, so you have to call them.
