Well, this was me. I am a lot greyer these days!

This is Dave

He looks the same now as he did then! He’s the one that got me into this mess. Well, it’s hardly a mess. Hmmm… Maybe financially it’s a mess, but nonetheless I’m grateful to him for getting me interested in building a plane.

The plane

N834ST is a Van’s RV-7 built from a quickbuild kit, starting in February 2002 in our hangar at Willow Run (YIP) near Detroit. Dave moved to Australia in December 2002, so most of the build happened with him cheering from the other side of the world. She first flew on November 24, 2006, after 2,594 hours of building, and went on to win Grand Champion, Kit Built at Sun ’n Fun 2008 and a Bronze Lindy at Oshkosh 2008.
