Brakes are a key area for getting all gummed up if you leave them for long, and this was no exception. The brake fluid basically solidifies into a gooey jelly, so you have to clean everything out meticulously.

This was the master cylinder rebuild for the rear brake. I did the same thing here: vapour blasted the master cylinder housing to make it nice and new, got some parts replated and fitted new seals. It all works really nicely now.
