Today was all about getting the electrical system and the clocks in. I laid it all into the bike and secured everything where it’s supposed to be. It probably won’t be long now before we can apply power to this thing and actually bring it to life.

With the bike I got a set of Keihin flat slide carburettors, so I wanted to install those. But it turns out that to do so, you have to cut this crossbar on the frame; you can see the interference here. I wasn’t prepared to do that to this motorcycle, since it was so original. So in the end I put the carburettors back in the box and sold them on later.
